What is the meaning of the dog illustration that appears when the NetSkateKoban Console starts up?

The dog shown on the startup screen is intentionally used to evoke the image of watchdogs and police dogs.

"NetSkate" embodies the meanings of "Net Helper" (someone who assists with the network) and "Net Skater" (the image of skating smoothly through the network).
