Q
Please tell me how to configure conditions in Advanced Policy Settings when I want to use multiple address information items.
A

As an example configuration, the following explains how to set up a policy in which only devices using specific IP addresses within a monitoring domain are "Automatically Registered", while devices using any other IP addresses trigger an "Email Notification".

In this case, you will need to register the two policies described below.

(1) Example of registering conditions for "Specific IP Addresses"

For a given monitoring domain, register the IP addresses you want to apply as conditions using "==", and combine each condition with OR.

Specifically, first register the condition for the monitoring domain. Then, when registering each IP address condition, select the previously registered monitoring domain and add each IP address condition using AND.

The logical expression for the conditions in this case would be as follows:

(“Domain-A” AND “IP1”)
OR (“Domain-A” AND “IP2”)
OR (“Domain-A” AND “IP3”)

(2) Example of registering conditions for "IP addresses other than the specified ones"

For a given monitoring domain, register the IP addresses you want to exclude using the "!=" condition, and combine all conditions with AND.

Specifically, first register the condition for the monitoring domain. Then, when registering the first IP address condition, select the previously registered monitoring domain and add it with AND. For subsequent IP addresses, select the most recently added IP address condition and continue adding additional IP address conditions with AND.

The logical expression for the conditions in this case would be as follows:

(“Domain-A”) AND (NOT “IP1”) AND (NOT “IP2”) AND (NOT “IP3”)
