Q
Please tell me the difference between the "Exception MAC Address Registration" in the Koban Manager and the "Ignore MAC Address Configuration" (Exclusion from Blocking Targets) in the Koban Sensor.
A

"Exception MAC Address Registration" in the "Manager Settings" is used to register MAC addresses that should be ignored during device detection processing. Network devices with MAC addresses registered here will no longer be detected at all.

The MAC addresses registered in "Ignore MAC Address Configuration" on the Koban Sensor, or in the "Exclude from Blocking Targets" tab of the DHCP/ARP Sensor Agent, are those for which you want to reject communication‑blocking instructions from the Manager.
By registering the MAC addresses of important devices (e.g., routers, servers, etc.) here, you can prevent unintended communication blocking caused by operational mistakes or misconfigurations.
